POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Ultrasound Manager, the Ultrasound Technologist provides skill and initiative to the department mission through interactions with staff, Supervisor and others as necessary.  Primary duties are to work as a Technologist generating diagnostic images for physicians, while also implementing policy and procedures as determined necessary through Manager and Supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • Associate's degree (or equivalent from two-year college) or certificate program in Ultrasound Technology

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

  • RDMS required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in related clinical area is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Work requires knowledge of principles and procedures of Ultrasound and the operation and maintenance of Radiologic and/or Ultrasound equipment.
  • Work requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and all/any apprehensions, to instruct students and to provide technical supervision to staff technologists.

Compensation Range:

$48.90- $62.03
