  • 42887
  • 736 Cambridge St, Brighton, Massachusetts, United States, 02135
  • Full Time

Boston Medical Center Health System acquired and has begun integration of BMC – Brighton and BMC – South.  After the quick integration for October 2025, BMCHS has begun deeper due diligence and incorporation efforts, including in ambulatory.

During the last 6 months, BMCHS has identified additional challenges, included but not limited to the following:

  • Clinic Operations Subscale
    • Volume: There has been a steady decline in volume due to many factors and 75% of clinics are operating subscale
    • Staffing: Clinics appear to be significantly overstaffed for volume
    • Referrals: New patients come in via referrals that arrive primarily via phone staffed in each individual clinic (or less often via fax)
  • Management Structure Variable & Lean:
    • Lean administrative structure and focused on day-to-day emergencies across many subscale and geographically dispersed sites
    • Variable # and types of roles across each site
  • Data & Reporting Gaps:
    • Challenge to data availability in the interim, prior to Epic go-live
    • Limited governance and oversight to establish shared goals and manage key metrics
