Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM), Department of Psychiatry, is seeking Psychiatrist- Suffolk County Jail Project to join our faculty.

About: Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BUCASM), Department of Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center (BMC) is hiring a psychiatrist to join our growing team.. Our values and mission continue to drive our stronghold of excellence in patient care, education, and research. Both newly trained and/or experienced board-certified psychiatrists are welcome to apply. Board-certified psychiatrists are members of the faculty at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BUCASM).

Department Overview:  BMC’s Dept of Psychiatry has established a new and exciting clinical partnership with Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department to better meet the complex behavioral health needs of pre-trial male detainees. This position will join a multi-disciplinary team as part of this novel dual diagnosis program launching within Suffolk County Jail. Program is focused on patient-centered holistic care, restorative justice principles, and celebrating lived experience.

Job Requirements: 

  • Medical Degree
  • Experience in dual diagnosis and/or forensic work desired but not required
  • Preference for Board eligible/certified in psychiatry___________

Compensation:  Boston University School of Medicine offers a competitive salary commensurate with academic training and practice experience.
