POSITION SUMMARY:
The Integration Engineer 2 is a member of the team responsible for the analysis, design, coding, implementation, and support of interfaces between BMC applications. This individual designs, develops and implements connections/interfaces between software systems, using a broad variety of tools: scripting languages, programming languages, interface engines, etc. The Integration Engineer 2 works closely with vendors as well as application analysts to manage accurate and timely data flow between applications and is also responsible for maintaining all hospital interface engines.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Develops HL7 interfaces
Contributes to the development of BMC applications HL7 interface standards
Perform problem and structural analysis, design and develop applications/interfaces
Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions
Ensure consistency of interface development, communication protocols and processes utilized
Scope work, provide accurate time estimations and interface impact on engine
The ability to be a technical leader during the development process is must
Contributes to Interface Engine maintenance including, upgrades and software patching
Integrate Epic with downstream clinical systems while working closely with the Epic Bridges/EDI Team
The ability to communicate well with other ITS staff
Will be part of a rotating on-call schedule for any off-hours interface issues
This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Cloverleaf: level 1and level 2. level 3 a plus
EXPERIENCE:
3 to 6 years of interface experience, or equivalent work experience in a related technical area.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Proficient with HL7 interface standards
Proficient with Cloverleaf Interface Engine
Working knowledge of API driven integration
Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming method of coding
Working knowledge of JSON or other data interchange formats with an emphasis on Web Development a plus
Experience with TCL
AIX UNIX or RedHat Linux operating system experience is required
Familiarity with FHIR protocols
Must be self-directed and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Requires a firm understanding of HIS systems, including actual clinical workflows
Knowledge of different hardware platforms, and comfortable interfacing multiple applications that exist on these various platforms
Compensation Range:
$89,500.00- $130,000.00This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
