POSITION SUMMARY:

The EHR Facilitator (Credentialed Trainer) is guided by the Instructional Designer of their respective Epic application who works in collaboration with the Training Team Lead. The EHR Facilitator provides training support for Boston Medical Center’s eMerge electronic medical record (Epic) by educating and training end users. They maintain a clear knowledge of their respective application and the workflows associated with that application, demonstrate excellent presentation skills, and have an excellent ability to answer end users' questions related to their application. Additionally, they support system go lives and optimization activities.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Complete the Epic Credentialed Training program for Clindoc and AMB applications.
  • Maintain current training materials of assigned application.
  • Provide instructor-led training courses to a diverse audience, both in person and virtual.
  • Follow the training curriculum as developed by the Instructional Designer.
  • Document classroom attendance and completion within the Learning Management System, Workday.
  • Deliver classroom exercises and proficiency exams as developed by the Instructional Designer.
  • Provide go-live support for projects or optimization efforts..
  • Maintain the ability to work variable shifts.
  • Work with Team Lead to identify and resolve workflow or application issues.
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Provide feedback on users’ knowledge and skills to the training or optimization team and department leaders.
  • Assist in testing Epic applications and validate workflows pertaining to change management activities.
  • Other duties as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s degree or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program (will consider equivalent combination of formal education and experience, i.e. HS/GED plus 2 years related Healthcare experience). For candidates with an Associates or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program, healthcare and/or Epic experience preferred. For candidates with high school diploma/GED, work requires at least 2 years healthcare related experience. Epic experience preferred.

1 year of prior training experience required

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Superior verbal/written English communication skills, including excellent grammatical, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Access, Office Suite, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web browsers.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment.
  • Manage multiple priorities and display strong organizational skills.
  • Critical thinking and strong problem solving skills.
  • Prior experience with technical instructor led classroom training preferred.
  • Proven ability to work with confidential information.
  • Ability to build rapport easily.
  • Open and adaptable to change.

Compensation Range:

$26.92- $37.74

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
