POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Procedural Sites reports to the Sr. Director of Perioperative Services and collaborates with the Directors of Cardiology, Radiology, and Gastroenterology to provide clinical and operational leadership within the Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and EP/Cath Lab procedural areas. The position supports the department by providing oversight of patient care delivery, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance. 

This role contributes to these clinical areas by ensuring efficient operations, service quality, and strengthening program delivery.

Working under limited supervision, the position is responsible for overseeing coordination of department resources to promote positive and effective experience for both patients and staff aligned with clinical best practices.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

  • Oversight of nursing / clinical operations of procedural sites: directs and coordinates patient care in Endoscopy, EP, Cardiac Catheterization, and Interventional Radiology ensuring safe, evidence-based procedures
  • Partner with executive leadership (CNO, COO, CFO) on enterprise-wide planning
  • Drive culture transformation and professional practice standards.
  • Lead service line expansion, innovation initiatives, and care model redesign.
  • Establish system wide standards and evidence-based practice frameworks.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness.
  • Lead sentinel events reviews with the department with corrective action plans.
  • Oversee productivity models, workforce planning, and resource allocations across departments.
  • Develop succession planning framework for nursing leadership.
  • Represent nursing leadership at meetings and councils.
  • Serve as a liaison to medical staff leadership and interdisciplinary executives.
  • Collaborate with Director of Cardiology Services and Diagnostic Imagining to help manage operating and capital budget
  • Drive cost containment strategies without compromising quality outcomes.
  • Participate in contract negotiation and vendor selection process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field, 7-10 years progressive nursing leadership experience

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

3-5+ years in multi-unit or system level leadership.

Experience managing in a unionized environment.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

Current RN License in the State of Massachusetts

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS PREFERRED:

GI/endoscopy-specific certification (e.g., CGRN) preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs):

  • Knowledge of Joint Commission Regulatory standards of practice to ensure departmental compliance
  • Knowledge of EMR systems to manage patient records, procedural documentation, and reporting
  • Knowledge of endoscopy and cardiology equipment, technology, and procedures to supervise safe and effective clinical operations
  • Ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams and departments to ensure seamless procedural operations.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple departments to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office to create, analyze, and report departmental performance metrics, budgets, and procedural documentation

Compensation Range:

$118,500.00- $172,000.00

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
