POSITION SUMMARY:

340Bridge is a 340B optimization platform born out of Boston Medical Center Health System’s Pharmacy and System Analytics teams. It combines clinical, financial, and operational expertise to deliver a scalable, mission-aligned technology solution. BMCHS is in the process of converting the original tool into a full 340B optimization platform that will enable BMCHS and other health systems to better manage and maximize the impact of 340B program savings, with an emphasis on operational efficiency, clinical benefit, data integrity, and measurable community reinvestment. 

The 340Bridge DevOps & Product Leader will be responsible for building and leading the technical product foundation and plans for ongoing maintenance of 340Bridge.

This role is both strategic and hands-on. It functions as  a technical leader, bridging architecture, infrastructure, product design, and execution in an early-stage environment.

The Development Operations and Product Leader oversees all aspects of the software build for both internal and external client use, product strategy, and roadmap development; and ensures the platform’s security, scalability, and alignment with customer and compliance needs. They will work closely with the BMCHS Innovation team, System Analytics, and clinical and pharmacy experts to translate business goals into technical delivery.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Develop and own the product vision, roadmap, and release strategy in alignment with organizational goals and customer needs

  • Lead requirements gathering and prioritization sessions with internal stakeholders (pharmacy, compliance, IT, finance)

  • Translate business, compliance, and operational insights into clear user stories and technical specifications

  • Define success metrics for product performance, adoption, and customer satisfaction

Technical Leadership & DevOps Oversight

  • Lead design and architecture of the 340Bridge software platform (e.g., data pipeline, integration layer, front-end interface, and reporting engine)

  • Oversee development sprints and vendor/contractor relationships, including software developers, UX designers, and data engineers

  • Implement best practices for CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, data governance, and API management

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare security and privacy standards (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.)

  • Build and manage a lightweight infrastructure capable of scaling with potential future customer growth

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the Innovation Office to translate the go-to-market plan for external use of the platform into technical milestones and deliverables

  • Collaborate with BMCHS IT and compliance teams to ensure data and security integration standards are met

  • Serve as the primary technical interface for early customers, pilot sites, and health system partners

Operational Leadership

  • Establish agile development processes, sprint planning, and release cycles suitable for an early-stage company, born within a larger health system

  • Define and manage product budget, vendor contracts, and development timelines

  • Support hiring and onboarding of future engineering and product team members as the company is solidified and grows

  • Lead post-launch maintenance, performance optimization, and customer feedback loops

JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of experience in software product development, of which at least 3 years must be in a leadership or senior DevOps role; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience building or leading cloud-based applications (Azure, AWS, or GCP) in healthcare or highly regulated environments

  • Experience with agile product management and leading cross-functional product delivery

  • Experience translating complex business problems into scalable technical solutions

  • Experience with Git for version control and collaborative code management

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s Degree

  • Experience with 340B, pharmacy data systems, or health system financial operations

  • Background in early-stage or startup environments (spinouts, incubators, or venture-backed companies)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs):

  • Strong understanding of data pipelines, system integration, and analytics platforms

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, especially with non-technical executives and clinicians

  • Hands-on familiarity with modern development stacks (Python, React, PostgreSQL, etc.) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant data architecture, HITRUST, or similar frameworks

Compensation Range:

$113,500.00- $164,500.00

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
