POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dries Lab is looking for a motivated computational scientist to join our lab and take a leading role in the analysis of large-scale spatial single-cell transcriptomics data of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. The successful candidate will work with multi-sample 10x Genomics Xenium datasets, developing and applying scalable analysis pipelines for data processing, integration, and interpretation. We are looking for a motivated computational scientist to join our lab and take a leading role in the analysis of large-scale spatial single-cell transcriptomics data of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. The successful candidate will work with multi-sample 10x Genomics Xenium datasets, developing and applying scalable analysis pipelines for data processing, integration, and interpretation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
A central focus of the role will be the design and implementation of an improved cell type classification framework, leveraging state-of-the-art machine learning approaches and reference datasets to achieve robust, reproducible annotations across samples and experimental conditions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Recent college graduate or student enrolled in a related graduate or undergraduate degree program, preferably beyond a second semester junior.
EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate has a strong background in single-cell or spatial transcriptomics analysis, is proficient in R and is comfortable working with large datasets.
Experience with machine/deep learning or probabilistic classification methods is a plus.

COMPENSATION RANGE: $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
