Schedule: 24 Hours, Evenings/Nights, Weekends Required, Part-Time, Benefit Eligible
Job Summary:
The CT Technologist will perform computed tomography procedures while adhering to established guidelines and assisting in the training of new technologists; will work under the supervision of the lead/charge technologist and modality medical director. The CT Technologist will:
Perform all technical procedures within the respective modality sections as described in the Radiology Policy Manual.
Meet the technical competency requirements for the position.
Maintain an effective working relationship with all staff.
Participate in professional education programs, patient/staff safety initiatives, and quality assurance/ improvement activities.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Education and Experience: Documented training and experience in radiography; Documented training and experience in CT preferred
Certification/Licensure:
Current BLS certification; and
Current Massachusetts BCEH Computed Tomography (Full/General) license or ability to obtain registered certification within 12 months of hire and prior to the expiration of a temporary license; and
Current Massachusetts BCEH (Full/General) license in Radiography and/or Nuclear Medicine and/or Radiation Therapy, or ability to obtain registered certification within 12 months of hire and prior to the expiration of a temporary license; and
Current ARRT registered certification in Computed Tomography with RT(CT) designation or eligible for ARRT certification; and
Current ARRT registered certification in Radiography and/or Nuclear Medicine and/or Radiation Therapy, or eligible for ARRT certification
Software/Hardware:
Imaging acquisition, processing, reviewing, sending, and retrieving equipment (hardware and software)
Hospital information system equipment (hardware and software)
Communication equipment (e.g., fax, telephone, email, etc.)
