POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Research Coordinator I (CRC I) will perform quality improvement and research activities using approved techniques. The CRC I administers assists with communication with hospital teams and community partners, team meeting coordination, administrating questionnaires, abstracts medical records, maintains patient databases, enters data into sponsor-specific electronic data capture forms, performs administrative tasks, assists in grant preparation, and participates with the team in preparation of data and other reports. Will also assist with audits and quality control. The CRC I will support the Massachusetts Perinatal Neonatal Quality Improvement Network (PNQIN) Perinatal Opioid Project (POP) with on-going research and quality improvement initiatives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct telephone interviews and review and abstract the medical records for patients.
Access patient demographic and clinical information from the clinical systems.
Enter information into the appropriate EMR and eCRF systems and departmental systems in an accurate manner.
Collect and organize patient data. Review data for quality and completeness based on established queries.
May be responsible for IRB and regulatory submissions and maintenance of regulatory files
Maintain on-going communications with research managers and PIs for data collection needs.
Other duties including send out mailings, communication with hospital teams, coordination of meetings and webinars, setting agendas and taking minutes
Support the alignment of the Massachusetts perinatal neonatal quality improvement network (PNQIN) with statewide efforts focused on infants with prenatal substance exposure
Work with the data analyst to send quarterly data reports to hospital teams
Assist with statewide annual summit planning and attend monthly PNQIN perinatal opioid project leadership meetings
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree Required AND
0-2 years of experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Excellent organization and communications skills required.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and externals contacts.
Must be detail oriented and have the ability to follow-through.
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize workload. Must practice discretion and adhere to hospital confidentiality guidelines at all times.
Must have computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation Range:
$18.27- $25.72This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
