Position: Pharmacy Tech III (Mail Order/Central Fill Pharmacy)
Department: Outpatient
Schedule: 40 Hour- rotating Days/Evenings, Rotating Weekend
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mail Order/Central Fill Pharmacy Technician III is responsible for providing technician pharmacy services with an emphasis on performing assigned tasks that require working independently with assigned tasks and increased competency skills relating to patient medication therapy. Basic functions include, but are not limited to prescription transcription and order entry into the pharmacy system, preparing and distributing pharmaceuticals, performing inventory control and compliance audits, providing customer service, and maintaining pharmacy records as applicable. The Pharmacy Technician III works under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, and/or the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to ensure delivery of high quality patient focused pharmacy service.

Under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, supports the department in the ethical practice of pharmacy on a daily basis by providing effective, appropriate, and safe pharmacy services. Exemplifies the creation and maintenance of a healthy work environment.
