POSITION SUMMARY:
The Coding Denial and Edit Analyst provides coding and analytical support to the CDCI Department by identifying accounts suspended from billing or denied due to documentation, coding, and/or clinical reasons, analyzing identified accounts to determine the reason for suspension or denial, correcting accounts based on department work load organization, and maintaining reports summarizing the issues and their financial impact.

JOB REQUIREMENT
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
CPC, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Requires at least two years of experience in medical records coding or strong coding certification with strong experience in patient financial services.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Work requires a comprehensive knowledge of clinical documentation and medical coding, and a working knowledge of third party billing regulations and requirements, and billing/accounts receivable and clinical documentation information systems.
Ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail are essential.
Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of all personal/health sensitive information.
Compensation Range:
$26.20- $36.78This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
