Our Breast Imaging nurse navigator is a registered nurse and certified breast patient navigator in imaging with knowledge and expertise in breast pathology. Following an initial mammogram, if a diagnostic mammogram is needed to further evaluate breast tissue or changes in the breast, she assists with:

The Nurse Navigator acts as an advocate to assist patients in navigating throughout internal and external systems in order to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment process. Applies the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient in order to provide the optimal level of patient care.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Registered Nurse (RN) Massachusetts and Basic Life Support (BLS)
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrates clinical competencies in providing direct patient care and patient and family education as well as assisting the provider in the delivery of patient care. Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with others.
