As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our 38-bed (28+10) multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. Position: Registered Nurse
Department: ICU, 24 Hours
Schedule: Nights, Weekend Every Third
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver nursing care in the ICU unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
Update and manage patient records
Enter and interpret computerized data/information
Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCHS nursing department
Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
EXPERIENCE:
2 years of RN experience required in a med/surg setting
ICU experience preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required
Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
Basic computer proficiency
Fluency in another language a plus
