About:  The Section of Gastroenterology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BUCASM)/ Boston Medical Center is seeking a Gastroenterologist Medical Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program (IBD). The incumbent will have a commitment to clinical care and scholarly activity. The Crohn’s & Colitis Program at BMC is supported by a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team. This includes administrative staff, a PhD psychologist, clinical pharmacologist, pharmacology technician, IBD nurse and clinical dietician. The program has an active clinical research coordinator and access to a Clinical Research Centre. The incumbent will be expected to manage IBD patients in clinic, perform routine endoscopic procedures, attend on the inpatient GI service, participate in ongoing clinical research, and assist with teaching of fellows and residents. Rank is dependent upon qualifications.

Job Requirements: 

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and must be board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the appointment start date.  The selected candidate must have a primary clinical interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

Compensation:  Boston University School of Medicine offers a competitive salary commensurate with academic training and practice experience.
