The Palliative Medicine Service, which is part of the Section of General Internal Medicine at Boston Medical Center, is seeking dedicated palliative care physicians to join our faculty. Boston Medical Center is the largest safety-net hospital in New England and is committed to providing accessible, high-quality health care to all. The hospital is the main teaching affiliate of Boston University School of Medicine, and our faculty members work with students, residents, and fellows in their clinical practice. The Palliative Medicine Service includes clinicians who practice in both inpatient and outpatient settings. We have an integrated, interprofessional team that supports the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients living with serious illness. In addition to patient care, faculty members provide education to learners at all levels. Support is provided for each faculty member to develop individualized career paths. Desired skill sets include strong clinical skills, commitment to lifelong learning and education, good communication skills, and dedication to caring for underserved populations.
