POSITION SUMMARY:
Boston Medical Center’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a per diem OBGYN provider (moonlighter) to provide high-quality clinical coverage on the Labor & Delivery unit at our BMC South campus. This role is ideal for a physician looking for flexible coverage opportunities while contributing to BMC’s mission of delivering exceptional, equitable, and compassionate care to women and birthing patients.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Responsibilities:
Provide in-house coverage for Labor & Delivery, Triage, and Postpartum units.
Manage obstetric emergencies, deliveries, and inpatient consults.
Collaborate closely with midwives, physician assistants, nurses, and anesthesiology staff to ensure safe, patient-centered care.
Document care in compliance with BMC and departmental standards.
Participate in handoffs and maintain effective communication across the care team.
inpatient GYN consults and surgical management, as well as ED gyn consults.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Current Massachusetts medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
BLS and ACLS certification required; NRP preferred.
Experience managing obstetric emergencies and L&D coverage preferred.
Commitment to providing equitable and culturally competent care.
Schedule & Compensation:
Per diem, flexible shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays as available).
Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.
