POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs standard neurophysiology testing procedures under general supervision to ensure the department is providing high quality services in an efficient manner and is able to operate in fulfilling its mission.

Position: Neurophysiology Tech 

Department: EEG Lab

Schedule: Per Diem

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Requires in addition to the knowledge normally acquired through a high school education, additional technical training normally acquired through an Associate's Degree in EEG Technology or equivalent.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

Prefer ABRET certification eligibility.

EXPERIENCE:

Requires a minimum of one month on-the-job training to become familiar with department policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Requires interpersonal skills sufficient to effectively interact with ill patients, explain procedures and allay fears.

Must acquire and effectively utilize ability to read graphs to distinguish abnormal characteristics, and detect artifacts.
