POSITION SUMMARY:

Under direction of the Director of Nutrition and Weight Management, develops, promotes and maintains the nutrition program as well as satellite locations. Applies principles of nutrition and dietary therapy, and program management, to assist the clinic in providing a variety of nutritional services to patients, and to assist the clinic in providing high-quality nutritional care to all outpatients at Boston Medical Center. Works closely with clinic management team to oversee clinic staff and daily operation.

Schedule: Full Time

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

MA/MS in Nutrition.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

Registered Dietitian

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of (5) years of experience as a registered dietitian. Experience with obesity management preferred. Two or more years of management experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently while paying close attention to details.
  • Must work effectively, professionally, and confidently with a variety of patients and healthcare providers.
  • Must have strong clinical skills with ability to perform nutrition assessment, formulate nutrition plan, and provide nutrition counseling and education.
  • Must demonstrate team player qualities and able to work professionally with all levels of employees.
