The interventional radiology position at Boston Medical Center Health System is intended to support both St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and Good Samaritan Medical Center patient needs for image guided intervention. This includes but is not limited to CT & US guided biopsies/drainages, fluoroscopic guided intervention, vascular/dialysis access, ablation therapy, biliary and genitourinary intervention. Responsibilities include participation in multidisciplinary conferences, QA and
teaching/oversight of our IR physician’s assistant and technical staff. The position also requires regional on-call IR coverage to support the needs of both hospitals.
· Daily care of patients requiring interventional radiology services.
· On-call coverage for regional hospital system.
· Engagement with hospital committees – tumor board etc.
· Development of service line – collaboration with key referral sources
· Oversight and teaching to IR PA and techs
Requirements
· Interventional Radiology fellowship or equivalent experience
· Exceptional communication and inter-personal skills
· Desire and ability to share knowledge with IR staff
· Ability to perform basic CT and Ultrasound guided body interventional procedures is required
· Time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Able to demonstrate patient-centered and patient-valued behaviors
This role will cover Brockton and Brighton locations.
· Board Eligible or Board Certified in Radiology
· Interventional Radiology Fellowship strongly preferred
· Must obtain and maintain a medical license in the state of Massachusetts
