POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to join our team. In this role, you will design engaging, effective learning experiences that support employee performance and organizational goals. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to build training that is visually appealing, instructionally sound, and aligned with business needs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Design & Development

  • Design and develop learning experiences including eLearning modules, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), microlearning, job aids, assessments, and performance support tools.
  • Apply adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Agile), and learning science to create high-impact training.
  • Develop storyboards, scripts, outlines, and prototypes for learning content.
  • Use authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Vyond) to produce interactive and visually engaging content.

Needs Analysis & Evaluation

  • Conduct needs assessments, audience analyses, and task analyses to identify performance gaps.
  • Recommend training strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Develop assessments to evaluate learning outcomes and measure training effectiveness (Kirkpatrick model or similar).

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather content and ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and resources to meet deadlines.
  • Facilitate review cycles and incorporate feedback efficiently.

Learning Technology & Innovation

  • Work within learning management systems (LMS) to upload, test, and track learning materials.
  • Research and recommend new learning technologies, trends, and design best practices.
  • Ensure accessibility compliance (e.g., WCAG, Section 508) in all learning materials.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Science, or a related field.
  • Experience designing training using ADDIE or other instructional design models.
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools and multimedia tools.
  • Strong writing, communication, and visual design skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design or related discipline.
  • Experience with LMS administration (e.g., Cornerstone, Moodle, Workday Learning).
  • Knowledge of UX design, graphic design, or video editing.
  • Experience in specific industry (corporate, healthcare, tech, etc.).

    This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
