Job Description

The Employee Resilience and Wellbeing Program Coordinator will play an integral role in supporting and expanding employee resilience and wellbeing efforts for Boston Medical Center Health System employees. This role will provide coordination, resource navigation, and project management support for our Employee Resilience Program and employee wellbeing initiatives. As a key member of the Employee Resilience team, the coordinator will help execute multiple initiatives aimed at enhancing employee wellbeing, and assist with navigating employees to the appropriate wellbeing resources offered through employee benefits. The coordinator will assist the ERP Director and clinicians with scheduling appointments, respond to requests, and other administrative duties. Some of the recurring wellbeing initiatives include the Employee Resilience Program’s Peer Support Program, individual support following Occupational Stress Injuries, Emotional Debriefings following adverse events, and system-wide wellbeing programming. There are opportunities for professional development and growth, including program management and case management.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

  • Review and manage incoming inquiries and requests to Employee Resilience
  • Manage Employee Resilience Program’s inbox and incoming referrals
  • Assist with triaging requests and navigating services to help employees find the most appropriate programming and/or providers for their specific needs, both at BMC and elsewhere
  • Assist employees in finding internal & external resources that address social support needs
  • Review daily incident report queue and provide outreach to affected employees
  • Arrange, maintain, and optimize the Employee Resilience Clinicians' scheduling
  • Manage referrals for long-term counseling and substance use disorder treatment programs
  • Support with program evaluation data analysis, quality improvement projects, and communication materials, and processes
  • Coordinate and manage ERP Program administration, communications, operations, and evaluation
  • Represent the Program and BMC’s mission on internal and external committees as appropriate

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree and/or 4 years of related coordination or administration experience required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: N/A

EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years of experience working in healthcare settings highly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Displays empathy, respect, and good judgement

  • Program development and evaluation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills in interactions with employees, physicians, and health care team colleagues, as well as external partners
  • Ability to work with people of all social, economic, and cultural backgrounds; be flexible, open-minded, and adaptable to change.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, would be to speak in front of groups on some occasions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications required)
  • Experience with Project Management Software preferred
  • Ability to work and solve problems independently and as part of a team
  • Adaptable and open to learn new processes and workflows
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, as evidenced by a capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and role components
  • Comfort with being exposed to sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
