Schedule: 40 Hours, Days, Full Time, Benefit Eligible

Position Summary: 
Provide a highly skilled, consistent approach to the management of bed resources, using appropriate age and sex criteria. Insure the processing of patients in a customer-focused yet efficient manner. Prepare daily census reports that effectively communicate the Medical Center's occupancy status. Work with Nursing Leadership in an effort to utilize staffing resources prudently. Act as a gatekeeper in order to protect the Medical Center’s risk arrangements with our insurers and physician partners.

Required Knowledge & Skills: 

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • Experience: 5-7 years in Patient Registration or other hospital department. Reception/office or other healthcare experience required. Medical setting and medical terminology preferred.
  • Software/Hardware: Previous computer entry / word processing experience required. Meditech knowledge helpful. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
