POSITION SUMMARY:
The Admissions Coordinator at Brockton Behavioral Health Center (BBHC) plays a pivotal role in managing the entire admissions workflow for our acute care psychiatric facility and Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS) unit. This position ensures the smooth acceptance of appropriate patients, manages the interface between clinical, administrative, and utilization management (UM) processes, and supports timely, safe, and compliant patient placement. The Admissions Coordinator will collaborate closely with clinical leadership, UM teams, Patient Financial Counselors (PFCs), and senior leadership to maintain optimal patient flow, manage unit acuity and capacity, and provide excellent patient-centered care.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or a related field required.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare admissions, case management, utilization review, or care coordination, preferably in an acute psychiatric or behavioral health setting.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and admission workflows required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Familiarity with insurance verification, UM processes, and payer guidelines preferred.
