POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for preparation of standard, recurring and ad hoc journal entries for the monthly financial close, preparation of various GL account reconciliations, budget to actual variance analysis of monthly income statement, ad hoc projects/analysis as needed and various other functions necessary to support the production of accurate and timely financial statements. This position will work with other Accounting team members, Finance departments, and internal/external customers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Requires a bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of experience and training).

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 2 years related experience in an accounting or financial role.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • High degree of proficiency with accounting software.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Normal clerical dexterity and visual acuity.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills necessary to interact with all levels of personnel within and outside of the organization.
  • Must have excellent organizational and follow up skills and a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines and schedules.
  • Able to multitask, plan and prioritize workload and projects.
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Knowledge of auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and the healthcare industry preferred.
  • Proven ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to be part of a team and help in other areas of the department as needed.
